SEMINARY PROJECT

Dear brothers and sisters, in order train Christian leaders and workers, we need your partnership for the Yangon Christian College and Seminary.

Education
Most of the major universities in the country have been closed since 1989 and the Christian Bible Colleges are the only places where our young people can get their education. We are thankful to the Myanmar government for allowing the Christian Bible colleges to remain open.

Purpose
The purpose of the
Yangon Christian College and Seminary is to train men and women to be cross-cultural evangelists and leaders of the churches who will serve the Lord and the needs of the people both spiritually and physically. The graduates are expected to be trainers of leaders and minister to the people in Myanmar, China and India. We also plan to reach unbelievers through the students and plant churches wherever Christ is accepted.

Commitment
Yangon Christian College and Seminary is committed to saving souls, minds, and bodies through teaching, preaching, and practicing biblical truth.  In order to attain a corporate image of Christ, we desire to work as partners with other Christians who have the same vision and belief for the Kingdom of God. Please click here for a detailed statement of faith.

Yangon Christian College and Seminary is currently open to all candidates from all ethnic groups, such as Burmese, Lisu, Rawang, Chin, Kachin, Karen, Rakai, Shan, Lahu, Ah Kha, etc,. We will welcome Christians from different denominations. One of our target groups is  the Burmese Buddhist young people in the city, who do not know about Jesus. We plan to reach them via our students. Our programs include:

1) Bachelor of Theology (B.Th)
2) Master of Divinity (M.Div ) or  Master of Art (M.A)

The English and the Burmese languages are used as medium of instruction. Class discussion is conducted in Burmese language, but all papers and assignments are done in English because the books in the library will be in English. All text books and class notes are in English. Christian books in our language are generally unavailable. We need to collect as many books as possible from our partners overseas. Any donations for the library will be greatly appreciated. Please click here for a list of our faculty members.

CHURCH PLANTING & MEDIA PROJECTS

Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish."  Without a vision, the people of Myanmar will perish.  The Yangon Christian College & Seminary and other mission projects of the Myanmar Agape Christian Mission are born with visions and dreams received from God.

Vision
The Myanmar Agape Christian Mission is a team ministry. We desire to create ministry-opportunities for people who are spiritually gifted and help them to use their God-given gifts for the glory of the Lord.

Objectives
     1. To be able to present the message of the "love of God," to the people in Myanmar,
China and India through our testimonies.
     2. To be able to present Jesus Christ as the Savior of all people in every culture, color,
         social status and ethnicity.
     3. To be able to plant indigenous churches where any people can feel at home while
         embracing Christianity.
     4. To be able to train cross-cultural evangelists and church leaders from different
         cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
     5. To be able to send them back to their own people

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" - Matthew 28:19
